The 15th May 2012 marks the 64th anniversary of the Nakba, when hundreds of thousands of Palestinians were expelled from their homes and land by Zionist forces.
Every year, Palestinians and solidarity activists worldwide commemorate the Nakba and demand the right of the Palestinian people to return to the land which they were violently forced from.
As this Nakba Day approaches, there are 2000 Palestinian prisoners currently on a Karamah (dignity) hunger strike for their human rights which are denied by the Israeli occupation. Those on hunger strike include Bilal Thiab and Thaer Halahah who have refused food for over 70 days and are in a critical condition and in danger of imminent death.
We Are All Hana Shalabi are calling for those in solidarity with the just cause of the Palestinian hunger strikers worldwide to organise actions and fast in solidarity on Nakba Day.
In your cities and towns, organise rallies, take direct action, and help raise awareness of the actions of the hunger strikers in the absence of mainstream media coverage.
Post details of where you will be fasting from and any actions being organised worldwide on the event page.
Solidarity with the hunger strikers! Free Palestine!
